Second In-class Writing Conference

Updated: Apr 15, 2020

I was pretty confident about my writing and understood what I was supposed to include. I was able to take the criticisms and critiques from my one on one with Chloe and change my writing. But with the direct feedback from my classmates today I am now able to make my writing even stronger. There were a few technical errors in my essay that I absolutely agree with. I have read my essay over a million times by now and I have at this point become completely blind to the mistakes. I have offered more guidance on varying sentence structures. So far, the essays I have read have more shorter sentences or a few with commas but my usual writing includes different styles. I include semicolons and differing techniques to spice up my sentences and add a little something in there. I feel like other than giving examples on where sentences structures can vary, I need to get better at other comments. I read the essays for errors, but I might not spot out grammatical errors as fast, basically if it sounds right my mind thinks its right regardless if it is or not. So from now on I’ll try to pay closer attention to that.
